JOINT AWARDS

  • Rose and Carnation Awards
    TBS nominates an outstanding member from KKPsi for a Rose and KKPsi nominates an outstanding member from TBS for a Carnation. This award recognizes those that have gone above and beyond to work with and improve relations across organizations.

TAU BETA SIGMA AWARDS

  • Distinguished Sister Award
    Used to recognize sisters in the Western District who exemplify the ideals of Tau Beta Sigma and have dedicated themselves to promoting the bands and demonstrating leadership on their campus. Past and current leadership experience, accolades, and information on how they exemplify the 8 to 5 is asked for when nominating a sister for this award, and thus taken in consideration when awarding this title.
  • Unsung Hero Award
    Used to recognize sisters in the Western District who have contributed significantly to their chapter or bands without being recognized with an officer position or seniority. Leadership duties they have taken on without a title, and how they have shown initiative in chapter is asked for when nominating this sister for this award, and taken into consideration when awarding this title.
  • Outstanding Graduating Sister Award
    This award may be presented to a graduating member of Tau Beta Sigma in recognition of their dedication to the Ideals of the Sorority, academic achievement, and leaving a lasting impact on their chapter.
  • Sis-Tau-hood Award
    This award is for one outstanding Sister that has shown kindness, dependability, and cheerfulness. This individual is one that helps create and has created lasting bonds within the organization. They embody the idea of sisterhood that Tau Beta Sigma promotes with the 8 to 5.
  • Kris Wright Award
    This award may be presented to one member of Tau Beta Sigma who has demonstrated outstanding and continued service to the Sorority’s Western District. Nominees must be life, honorary, or alumni members of Tau Beta Sigma. Nominees must have attained an accumulation of Life, Honorary, or Alumni Status of five (5) years after completing their education or terminating their affiliation with their college or university.

KAPPA KAPPA PSI AWARDS

  • Musicianship Award
    The Kappa Kappa Psi Western District Musicianship Award was created to recognize outstanding and dedicated musicians across the Western District. The purpose of this award is to honor current active brothers who exemplify the highest standards of Musical Achievement and who have demonstrated excellence in their respective band program.

    Requirements:
    * Must be a current ACTIVE Brother of Kappa Kappa Psi.
    * Must be in good standing with the Chapter and their respective school
  • Striving for the Highest Award
    This award recognizes the chapter that earnestly and consistently seeks improvement at the individual and chapter levels. The chapter should strive for the highest in musicianship, leadership, and service. It should be deliberate in goal-setting, reflection, and evaluation.
  • The Four Pillars Award
    This award recognizes a brother from each chapter who has embodied the ideals and values from our fraternity’s four pillars: Musicianship, Leadership, Service, and Brotherhood.
