District Leadership Conference

DLC (District Leadership Conference) is an event that kicks off the District Travel Season and is intended to allow brothers and sisters all around The West the opportunity to learn about new tools, leadership, and other chapters.

DLC 2018

DLC 2018 will be held in Corvallis, OR from January 12-14, hosted by the Theta chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi at Oregon State University! Click here to register for the event.

What to Expect

Joint Activities

Meet up and get to know Sisters of Tau Beta Sigma. We will have fun activities planned for that evening as Brothers and Sisters come into town.

Guest Speaker: Tyson Wooters

Tyson Wooters is a professional speaker who will come to discuss leadership in the band setting. He has worked with many college bands including the University of Oregon, Washington, Clemson, and Alabama at Birmingham.

Workshops: Musicianship as Service

Three different workshops will be held across two sessions covering ways to apply and improve on musicality and service. Topics include practicing technique, making music with others across the country, and meaningful approaches to service.

Workshops: Reflections on Road to Wisdom

After NatCon 2017, large changes to the KKPsi education process were implemented. These workshops will aim to give time for attendees to discuss and reflect on the lessons taught in the new curriculum.

An individual will earn Honorary Membership at DLC this year to commemorate his outstanding service to the District. This will be closed off exclusively to Active and Alumni Brothers.

Joint Experience

Join Brothers and Sisters in a discussion-based activity meant to help better understand the bond between Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma. Membership candidates are welcome to join.

More Joint Activities

To close DLC, Brothers and Sisters will gather to reflect on the weekend.

Ice Cream and Pizza Party!

The governors are treating DLC attendees to free ice cream and pizza to celebrate having paperwork turned in on-time by all chapters in the district.
